I must confess, I'm relatively new to the world of makeup. I don't know much and there are so many things to discover. One such discovery is the kohl eyeliner.
I chanced upon a magazine cover with Vanessa Hudgens donning the kohl-rimmed eyes look. Kohl? It's the first time I've heard of it. The next thing I did is, of course, google it. I then find myself checking out cosmetic counters until I found one in Sephora.

What is Kohl?
Kohl has been around as far back in 3000 BC. It is believed to have been used for medical purposes -- to ward off the evil eye. Today, kohl is still used in some parts of the world for the same supposed purpose. But in the world of beauty, it is applied to enhance a woman's mesmerizing stares. How to Apply Kohl Eyeliner
3. Apply kohl eyeliner on your upper and lower eyelid rims. Don't worry if it's messy because we're going to smudge it anyway.
4. Smudge it lightly using a Q-tip or a smudge brush. Get rid of any harsh lines and blend it properly so that it looks diffused.
5. (Optional) You can also add on black eyeshadow on top of the kohl eyeliner on the upper eyelids to intensify the look. Blend it upwards towards the crease area.
6. Curl your lashes, apply mascara and continue with your usual makeup routine.
Then you are ready to go!
Have fun!
