This is where the resurrected Jesus showed Himself to His disciples as they were fishing and called out to them (John 21). A touching scene followed as Jesus restored Peter, who denied Him before the crucifixion and commissioned him to feed and tend His sheep and lambs. Do check out my post: Israel Travel Itinerary for more tips and inspirations.
To tell you honestly, I had a hard time deciding which photo I'd place as a cover photo for this post because I had so many pictures in the area. I was so mesmerized that I've decided to capture every moment of it. Unfortunately, the photos weren't able to give justice to the beauty of the area. And I can't post it all so I'll just have to narrow it down.
When we went in we were welcomed by a 2,000-year-old tree seen on the 2nd column left side of the above photo that've probably witnessed Peter's restoration in the area. You can also see some parts of a drainage system on the 2nd column on the right side of the photo above.
On the last column left side of the photo above, it shows a rock embankment where small boats are docked. The waters must have reached here on high tide minus the drought where Israel is in right now. The right photo next to it shows a rock table where the resurrected Jesus cooked and prepared a meal for Peter. The Franciscans built a church in this area that's why you'll notice that this rock table is now inside a church building.
Our group had an awesome time of praise and worship at the area, sharing of the Word, Holy Communion and Renewal of Vows which the husband and I totally appreciate. :D
Looking out from afar where two love ducks, just like lovebirds, swimming together. (lol) On the 2nd column left photo, you'll notice a city sitting on a hill. That's Tiberias where our hotel is located.
Sunset At Tabgha
Look at that lovely sunset.
Time to go back to rest and refresh at the hotel. Gosh! My husband took some paparazzi shots of me. Hehehe!
Look! Someone is waiting for us near the bus waiting area.
