Hello friends, I'm finally going to breakdown our Israel trip from Day 1 to Day 8. Whew! It's a lot, mind you. But let's do this one at a time, shall we? You might be interested to check out our full Israel Travel Itinerary from this link.
After our 11-hour 20 minutes flight from Bangkok to Israel, we immediately embark on our tour bus to start our first steps to the Holy Land. Thank God I was able to sleep at the airplane on our way to Israel. We were greeted by this beautiful sceneries from the airport to our first stop which was at Caesarea Maritima.
But first thing's first. We need to eat a good breakfast. That 11-hour something flight made our bellies crave on whatever it can munch on.
Aaaahh!! That was a good breakfast at Port Cafe, Caesarea Maritima. I especially love the sweet potato with beans on it.
CAESAREA MARITIMA
Time to officially start the tour. As mentioned our first stop was at Caesarea Maritima. We were ushered to a room with a big screen in the middle to watch a short film about the beginnings or the history of the harbor. We were then ushered outside of the theatre and the race track. To find out more about this site read on my previous post: Caesarea Maritima.
MOUNT CARMEL
Our next stop was at Mount Carmel. This is where Elijah and the prophets of Baal had a showdown of whose god was the real God.We weren't able to take many pictures here as it is only a quick stop. It was cold and raining when we visited plus the fog was too much we couldn't see the view of the valley of Armageddon from below. It would have been an awesome view from the top. It would be better not to post the other photos we took since you'll only get to see the fog from the pictures. :)
On our way to Tel Megiddo, we passed by some open tombs.
Nope, it's not scary at all.
TEL MEGIDDO (ARMAGEDDON)
This is an ancient fortress and city, strategically located along the ancient trunk road from Egypt to Syria and Mesopotamia. This is the site where numerous battles n the biblical history happened. To find out more about this site click on my previous post: Tel Megiddo (Armageddon).
Our lunch was served at a cafeteria located at the site.

MOUNT PRECIPICE
This is the last site we visited on our first-day tour to Israel. It was very windy when we visited but it was all worth it. All around the place you could see a good 360-degree view of the area. From this mountain, we could also get a view of Nazareth where Jesus Christ spent His boyhood with his earthly parents. To find out more about this site check out my previous post: Mount Precipice. On our way to our hotel in Tiberias, we passed by Cana in Galilee. This site is located on a road that leads from Nazareth to Tiberias. Cana in Galilee is traditionally taken to be the site of Jesus' first and second miracles, the changing of water into wine at a wedding feast (John 2:1-11), and the healing of the son of a nobleman living in Capernaum (John 4:43-54). Cana was also the home of Nathaneal (John 21:2).
And we are finally checking in at our hotel in Tiberias. Woohoo!! Time to recharge for tomorrow's itinerary.
