Mount Precipice is a beautiful mountain top with a 360-degree view of the north, south, east, and west. Do check out my post: Israel Travel Itinerary for more tips and inspirations.
It was very cold and very windy when we went here. But when we went up on top of the mountain all of us were mesmerized by the views. I've seen never like it. It was very beautiful. It would have been much more amazing if the skies are blue right? Hehehe!
Here are more views of the place. Just ignore me. Haha!
From this mountain, we could get a good view of the city of Nazareth where Jesus spent his boyhood with His earthly parents, Joseph and Mary. It is located in the heart of an undulating valley. You could see the city of Nazareth on the photo above on the upper left side.
Spiritual Significance
Mount Precipice: This is where the Gospel of Luke says Jesus was rejected by His fellow Nazarenes after He had preached in the synagogue. Filled with anger they "led Him to the brow of the hill on which their city was built, that they might throw Him down over the cliff". (Luke 4:29)
After that quick hike and history shared by our tour guide Ido, we then left this place and head to our hotel. Yay!! I'm excited to take a bath now. :D
We passed by many beautiful sceneries on our way to the hotel in Tiberias. Check out that falls on the roadside mountain. That's a very beautiful roadside view!
On our way to the hotel, we also drive by Cana in Galilee. This site is located on the road that leads from Nazareth to Tiberias where our hotel is. Cana is where Jesus' first and second miracles, the changing of water into wine at a wedding feast (John 2:1-11), and the healing of the son of a nobleman living in Capernaum (John 4:43-54). Cana was also the home of Nathaneal (John 21:2).
Time to take a bath and recharge for tomorrow's activities.
