If you don't plan where your money will go someone else will. Unplanned purchases occur, relatives or friends request aid more than necessary, expensive hobbies add up.

Are you looking to improve your financial situation and avoid needless spending? Then keep on reading...

The Richest Man in Babylon: Six Laws of Wealth by Charles Conrad is a retelling of the timeless classic by George S. Clason's original version of The Richest Man in Babylon.

This book reveals the secret of wealth creation and how to keep it. The book relates the fundamentals of finance in a storytelling setting.

What are the Six Laws of Wealth?

Here is it.
  1. Keep a part of all you earn. Save at least 10% of your income.
  2. Put your savings to work for you. Invest it so that it will multiply.
  3. Avoid debt. The poor pay interest, while the rich earn interest.
  4. Don’t speculate in get-rich-quick schemes. Invest in solid businesses that you understand.
  5. Invest in yourself. Gain knowledge and skills to increase your earning power.
  6. Safeguard your growing fortune with diversification and insurance.

What I've shared here is just a short summary of the six laws of wealth. And because you want more, you'll have to dig them yourself.

The Richest Man in Babylon Book Review

Simply put, "Short, simple, and easy to read!" It takes only 15 minutes of reading time. This book talks about the basics of wealth from creation, retention to maintenance. For someone like me who started out clueless about financial management, this is a helpful resource.

RATING: 5/5

"For true wealth is freedom, while debt is slavery. No matter how rich a man appears — if he rides in a bronze chariot and wears fine robes—if he has purchased such luxuries on credit, he is ultimately a slave to his creditors."
