What is Think and Grow Rich about?

This book talks about what everybody aims for in life -- success and wealth. Hill heavily emphasizes that all achievement begins in the mind. Are you success-conscious or are you lack-conscious?

According to Hill, the subconscious mind will translate into reality a thought driven by fear just as readily as it will translate into reality a thought driven by courage, or faith.

The Power of The Mind 

It's unfortunate that many men of today are clueless about this reality -- where they are today is because of the dominating thoughts of their minds.

"Que sera, Que sera, whatever will be, will be!", is their theme song. But, you can change all that by feeding your mind with the right things that propel you to succeed in life.

How Do I Change My Dominating Thoughts?

According to this book, it is through self-suggestion. This means repeated affirmative instructions to the mind, spoken in emotionalized words paired with belief. [p69]

Think and Grow Rich Book Review 

I truly believe that the battle for one's destiny resides in the mind. The message introduced in this book is revolutionary. I do agree with Hill that you act according to that which dominates the mind!

If you desire better results, then change your thoughts! But I have to say, It takes a tremendous effort in doing so. Imagine, you've been believing them for as long as you can remember, subconsciously most of the time!

The reward is worthy of your effort! And it doesn't have to stop with yourself. You can extend the knowledge gained to your loved ones too, changing the course of destiny of your posterity.

Note: I call for vigilance while reading this book! If you're a believer in Jesus Christ you need to pray for discernment as you flip through the pages. The teachings presented here are occultic in nature. Chew the meat and throw away the bones!

The chapters that made me especially uncomfortable are the psychic phase of the Master Mind principle and the chapter on the sixth sense. But you don't have to take it literally! Form your own Master Mind group with real individuals. It'll benefit you more that way.

In Conclusion

Although I agree with the overall message presented in Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, the spiritual/occultic content is uncomfortable to read compared to other self-help books sold in the market.

But that's just me! Not everyone has to agree. The decision is up to the reader to decide.
Still, I'd recommend Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. The message introduced in the book is revolutionary. It's no wonder motivational speakers and highly successful businessmen recommend this book.
