I hope I don't offend our guests with this sign. You see, I grew up in the Philippines. It is customary in most Asian nations to remove one's shoes and leave it outside or at the door.
Now, I do understand that it's different out here in the West. Some may feel uncomfy about it. Maybe they wear their shoes inside their homes?
I know its kinda rude to ask guests to remove their shoes. However, I hope they understand that our little guy is starting to crawl and pick whatever that's on the floor. (Well, I can't be looking at him 24/7.)
So I made this 'Please Remove Your Shoes' sign and place it at the main door. It's super easy. It took me less than 30 minutes to make. Here's how...
You need:
- craft paper with the design of your choice.
- scissors/cutter
- Frame [I got mine from Walmart]
- Printer
- Command Strips [for no-hole hanging]
I made my sign from a website called Canva.com. It's free. There are a few nice templates to choose from so you won't spend all day thinking about it.
After I'm happy with the design, I then printed it out, cut it to the size of my frame, and hang with command strips. As mentioned, this took less than 30 minutes to make.
And here's how it looks on our main door. Easy, right?
If you're into artsy calligraphy letters, this 'Please Remove Your Shoes' sign or this one might be what you're looking for. ;)
