Extraordinarily magical! Canada's Parliament Hill resembles a fairytale wonderland in winter! Though construction is ongoing during our visit, it's enchanting appeal didn't wane.
The weather fluctuated below or above -10 degrees Celcius. Taking photos while wearing gloves is impossible.
I pushed one glove out from my right hand, tucked it inside my coat pocket and kept clicking until I got my desired results.
A few minutes later, oh no, I could no longer feel my hand! Geez, I need to hurry back to the coffee shop and join the fam.
About Canada's Parliament Hill
Parliament Hill is one of Canada’s most iconic sites and a must-see when visiting Canada’s capital. The historic, neo-Gothic Parliament Buildings stand tall on a hill overlooking the majestic Ottawa River in downtown Ottawa. And although the buildings are home to the country’s federal government (Prime Minister Justin Trudeau works there), visitors are welcome on-site for free tours and programming all year-long. Fireworks and Lightshows
On summers, from June - September, the Northern lights sound and light show presentation illuminate the Parliament Hill Building. It tells Canada's story of nation-building, partnership, discovery, valor, pride and vision at the heart of the country. There's also a fireworks show in August every Wednesday and Saturdays starting at 9pm.
On winters, from early December to early January, the area sparkles and dazzles in celebration of the season called The Christmas Lights Across Canada. And a 13-minute magical winter lightscapes show is projected to the building fascinating locals and tourists alike.
The best part? The shows are FREE! More info here.
