I confess I'm lazy when it comes to all things beauty. At this point in my life, with a toddler tugging at my shirt, I couldn't afford to stay long in the mirror. The moment I wake up, the action starts.
There always something to do: housework, someone to serve, work fulfillments -- I do love my job, writing software scripts utilizes my problem-solving skills -- and Youtube videos to waste all my hours away that I forget to wash my face until bedtime. I move my self-care at nighttime when home activity settles down.
Last year, I happen to see this video of a Filipino actress' morning routine. She didn't immediately wash her face after making the bed but dab the micellar water. This is what she uses.
I'm thankful I saw that video. It's practical for the busy mom. Of course, I copied that part of her routine since it only takes about a minute to do. In case I forgot to wash my face, I wouldn't so feel bad.
Review
As mentioned, I like the micellar cleansing water from Garnier. I've been using the product for many years now. When I saw the one with argan oil at the Walmart aisles, I didn't hesitate. Here's what I thought. (Note: I only buy new when my old ones are emptied up.)
Differences with the micellar cleansing water:
- Hands down my favorite makeup remover to date. The micellar cleansing water is amazing too but this works better in that department. It glides smoothly on the face, wiping the makeup away.
- For everyday face cleansing, the micellar water with argan oil sits heavy on the skin. The cleansing water is much preferable for that.
This is also affordable and comes in a travel-friendly size.
